CHBP POSTER SHOW at VERMILLION ART GALLERY

Thursday, July 11 at 7pm to 11pm

The CHBP Poster Show is our annual party in July that officially kicks off Capitol Hill Block Party and celebrates the work of 40+ local graphic designers! Last year we saw over 500 attendees throughout the entire evening. Taking place once again in Vermillion Art Gallery, we’ll be showcasing unique poster designs for CHBP 2019 artists. All artwork will be for sale and 100% of the proceeds will go directly back to the graphic designers. We’ll have drinks, art, games, beats by DJ Teenage Hearthrob & DJ Moonshineteeth, and a VIP tickets giveaway!

CHBP PHOTO SHOWCASE at CAFFE VITA

CHBP is teaming up again with Caffe Vita to showcase some of our local photographers’ greatest shots from CHBP. The photos will be printed in large-scale and hung throughout Vita’s walls for the entire month of July, accompanied by CHBP brand wall decals. Be sure to check out a variety of photographers’ work during Capitol Hill Art Walk in July.

DJs at CHOPHOUSE ROW COURTYARD

Brand new just last year, the highly popular Chophouse Row Courtyard DJs are back for CHBP 2019! We’ve partnered with Chophouse Row again to bring you live DJ sets in their intimate indoor / outdoor courtyard. Free to the public via access from Chophouse’s entrance on 12th Avenue, and also available to CHBP ticket holders within the festival gates. Taking place each day of the festival, we’ll have live sets from a variety of local DJs.


CHBP AFTER DARK DANCE PARTIES

The fun doesn't stop when the headliners finish! After the music ends at CHBP, go check out 20+ local DJs at six venues on Capitol Hill until bars close at 2am.

In 2014, CHBP launched a panel series designed to connect local artists with business leaders, influencers and media. Each year attendance has grown, with our 2016-2018 panels hosting Sean Nelson of The Stranger, Adra Boo of Fly Moon Royalty, Donovan Farley of Paste Magazine, Sharlese Metcalf of KEXP, Meli Darby formerly of Vulcan Enterprises, musicians Kris Orlowski, SOL, Sassyblack, and Emily Nokes of Tacocat, Leigh Bezezekoff of the Tractor Tavern, Steven Severin of Neumos and Wake Up Presents, Troy Nelson of Killroom Records, Marco Collins of KNDD, The Glamor and the Squalor, and KEXP, Austin Santiago of Buildstrong and Do206, Megan Ternes of Suicide Squeeze records & more!

As Seattle undergoes a rapid amount of growth and the change, it’s more important than ever for members of the local music community to come together with local businesses and the city to build relationships and discuss strategies for success.

How do you know when you’re ready for a label, and what labels are looking for in 2019? This is a continuation of our ‘Strategies’ series, which educates local musicians on how to survive and thrive. Topics will include: how labels have changed, debunking common misconceptions about how labels work for artists, the changing landscape of representation, and what artists can do to stand out.

chbp x Bat ‘n Rouge baseball Game at cal anderson field

CHBP 2019 is bringing back the beloved Bat ‘N Rouge to Cal Anderson Field - a lively softball rivalry / fundraiser between the Lez Bros and the Drag Queens. This year, all proceeds from the game will be donated to Lifelong. The players will do stunts that the crowd can purchase. Come for the amazing entertainment, donate for a good cause!

The game will be emceed by Gaysha Starr & La Saveona Hunt. LEZBROZ team lead by Ceasar Hart. Drag Queens team lead by Miss Tylah May Jackson.
